Hi, this is a work in progress...intended to be the first of a new line of art which has a cleaner finish...mainly to help out inkers who would have had problems with all the mid-tones.

I aimed for a dynamic composition for this one...it will fit the DC cover section of my portfolio for BICS in October.

Omega Sanction

This is strip piece for a story about Darkseid's Omega Sanction. I also have a cover idea for this.

Sketch I liked so much I inked it.

This was, and is a sketck on sketch paper that I liked enough to ink. Also I am pleased that around lunchtime yesterday I was making some very scratchy thumbnails...went to the shops and started sketching om A3 size sketchpaper around 3pm. The entire thing in pencil was finished by 9pm.


I was unhappy to begin with that this was not on bristol board but in the end there are a few things I want to change so that is not such a bad thing.

I actually worked on some alternatives for this cover but this was my original idea and it was intentionally different to your standard Hulk smashing a tank, or Abomination, or punching something.

Hulk prequel story "Little Green Men"

I thought I would post a few pages of a Hulk prequel comic I had created titled "Little Green Men", which was intended as a portfolio comic before I was taught that nobody ever likes cold submissions and so this is ok as just a standard addition to my portfolio.


There is intended to be a triple metaphor here for 3 aspects of the "other" in terms of bruce banner's interior conflict, fear of the alien other in society and fear of literal alien others.

X-men Versus Reavers piece

This was my final piece before moving over to the industry standard Bristol Board. I have my art Yoda Vicky to thank for that as she has been encouraging my professionalism and tut-tutting at my schoolboy errors when they happen to arise. I think as a first attempt at a commercial cover idea it works reasonably well.
